Better late than never…

My story

I wasn’t a traditional daughter of immigrants. Y’know, the one that works hard for those straight A’s, trying out for sports and participating in extracurricular activities to ensure a great resume for college. As a matter of fact, I didn’t even complete one semester of college before I gave up on it. I went to work at fruit packing houses, fast food, and did housekeeping. I figured I could work so long as I can draw at my leisure, but I came to realize that work was consuming the majority of my free time with no opportunity to work on personal projects.

So after 3 years of working, I got tired and wanted to give school another try.

A few moments later…

Going back to college awakened my passion to teach and help others. I was able to achieve my Associated Degree at Reedley Community College and transferred to LCAD to achieve my B.A in Illustration. Since my transfer, I have worked extensively on my portfolio and expanded by love for teaching.
